Lennis Anne Bussard Lockridge, 91, widow of Kermit Dale Lockridge, of Staunton, died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.
She was born May 24, 1931 in Monterey, Virginia, a daughter of the late Eutis W. Bussard and Vernie Miller Bussard.
She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church where she served as the church secretary for twenty-eight years, treasurer, an elder and, also served on various committees.
Surviving is a daughter, Debra Pitsenbarger and husband Ray; grandchildren, Ashley Dale Pitsenbarger Goodman and husband Jeff of Mayetta, Kansas and Daniel Burton Pitsenbarger and wife Brittany of Verona; and three great-grandchildren, Clay Goodman, Mason and Saylor Pitsenbarger.
She is also survived by a sister, Irva B. Smith of Staunton; sisters-in-law, Ellen Bussard of Gum Springs, Virginia, Thelma Bussard of Bolar, Virginia and Martha Webb and husband Eddie of Burnsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband who she married on May 5, 1953 and her parents, she is preceded in death by a twin sister, Lenna B. Carroll; and brothers, Dale W. Bussard and Ward M. Bussard.
Visitation will be held at Third Presbyterian Church, 1313 Barterbrook Road, Staunton from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 and other times at the home of Ray and Debbie Pitsenbarger.
A service will be held at Third Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 by Reverend Jacob Singleton. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Bussard, Lewis Wilson, Daniel Pitsenbarger, Bob Andrews, Eddie Alistock, Billy Webb, Eric Smith and Charlie Garber.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Third Presbyterian Church (1313 Barterbrook Road, Staunton, Virginia, 24401).
The family would like to thank the staff of Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab who took such good care of her during her stay.
