Lillie M. Lumsden

Lillie Mae (Sprouse) Lumsden, 87, widow of Robert Lumsden, passed away on December 29, 2022.

She was born on March 18, 1936, in Augusta County, VA, a daughter of the late John Sprouse and Margaret (Ellinger) Sprouse.

Prior to retirement, she was employed as a sales clerk for many years.

She is survived by her sons, David Lumsden and Gary Sprouse; her daughter, Sonya (Lumsden) DeBerry; a brother, Jerry L. Sprouse, a sister, Beulah Bryant; her grandchildren; Ben, Carly, Stephanie, Brendan, Howie, Steven, Amy, Heather, Jessie, Jason, Alicia, Dustin, and Dylan; her great-grandchildren, Cason, Camryn, Brooklyn, Declan, Adam, Alexis, Andrew, Aubrey, Addy, Chloe, Avery, Emma, Brayden, Kyle, Bradley, Connor, Kayleigh, Lucas, Ella, Krista, J.J., Jordan, Cody, and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Keith “Eddie” Lumsden; her siblings, Leonard, Richard, Ocie, Larry, and Roger Sprouse.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 4 - 6 PM at Henry Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 2 PM in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lester Kennedy.

Active Pallbearers will be Brendan Lumsden, Jonathan “Howie” Lumsden, Steven Lumsden, Jason Beaty, Dustin DeBerry, and Dylan DeBerry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Benjamin Lumsden and Rick Sprouse.
