Loraine Agnes (Craig) Cason, widow of Marshall H. Cason, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
Mrs. Cason was born on March 31, 1930 in Augusta County to the late Sam and Lena (Thompson) Craig. She was the last remaining of thirteen siblings.
She retired as a cafeteria worker from Staunton City Schools and also worked for the H.E.A.R.T. after school program. She loved dancing and was health-conscious. She prayed regularly and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Cason was a gifted baker, and was known for her delicious bread. Grambo was loved dearly and will never be forgotten.
Mrs. Cason is survived by two daughters, Jody C. Fravel and Donna M. Cason (C.B. Harris, Sr,); three grandchildren, Matthew Fravel (Liz), Holly Moody (Greg), and C.B. Harris II (Renee); great-grandchildren, Harper Fravel, Anne and Claire Moody, Sara Sheffer (Waseem), Andrew, Breanna, and Brandon Harris.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 15, 2022, at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Pastor Steve Traylor.
