Luther Donnie Lamb, 83, of Staunton, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Staunton Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 30, 1941, in Weyers Cave to the late Luther Benjamin and Georgia Evelyn Bowen Lamb.
Donnie was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam, dedicating service to his country with honor. Following his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career that spanned over thirty years with JB Wine and Son.
Outside of his professional life, Donnie had a deep passion for bluegrass and gospel music - and especially loved the legendary Ralph Stanley. He also found immense joy in the great outdoors, but his greatest enjoyment was his family.
Donnie leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughters, Lori Ann Lamb Morrison, and her husband James, and Karen Leigh Lamb Berry, and her husband Timmy; his grandchildren, TJ Berry (Jennifer McKenney) and Tara Morrison (Tim Fisher); and his great-grandchildren, Tori Berry, LeeAnna Berry, Coltin Berry, Gage Berry, Kaeden Berry, and Riley Fisher; his brother, John Lewis Lamb; his sisters, Betty Jean Lamb Shull and Linda Kay Lamb Doska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of thirty-nine years, Doris Ann Morris Lamb, and his sister, Shirley Ann Lamb Monroe.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Byers officiating.
Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Sheets, Joe Miller, Todd Lamb, Tom Doss, Dwayne Kiser, and Donald Smith.
