GREENVILLE, VA Margaret Ann (Harris) Conner, 83, widow of Kenneth Fay Conner of Greenville, died October 13, 2015, in the Blue Ridge Christian Villa Homes, Raphine. She was born March 9, 1932 in Covington, a daughter of the late Earl, Sr., and Myrtle (Queen) Harris. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Conner was employed by Bank of America as a trust clerk. She was a member of Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Knuckalls; a brother, Frank W. Harris; and a sister-in-law, Mickey Harris. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen C. and Michael A. McWhorter of Roanoke; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Daniel F. Harris and Earl E. and Peggy Harris of Staunton; a grandson, Ryan A. McWhorter of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, in Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Merle Fisher. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
