Matthew D. Clemmer
Matthew Daniel Clemmer, 26, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at his residence.
Matthew was born on February 16, 1996 in Fishersville to Thomas Carlton Clemmer and the late Mildred “Millie” Carmon Brown.
He was a 2014 graduate of Riverheads High School and worked at Slyde 23 in downtown Staunton.
Matthew loved music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed hiking, camping and had a loving heart for all animals.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Helen R. Clemmer; a brother, Joseph Thomas Clemmer and his partner, Jeremy “Jims” Hinkle; a sister, Rachel Kathleen Clemmer; an aunt, Anita Clemmer; an uncle, Timothy Clemmer; and a cousin, Peggy Knowles.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM, Monday, February 20, 2023 at Henry Funeral Home.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Augusta Regional SPCA (33 Archery Lane, Staunton, VA 24401), Shenandoah Valley Animal Services (1001 Mount Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, VA 22952), or the charity of the giver’s choice.
