Naomi B. Sponaugle

Naomi Ruth Bennett Sponaugle, 80, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. 

She was born on August 5, 1943, in Cherry Grove, WV to the late Raymond Guy Bennett and Virginia Mae Mick Lambert.

Naomi dedicated herself to hard work throughout her life, with numerous retail sales positions that included employment at Rocco Poultry, Purdue, Walmart, and Dollar General.

Outside of work, Naomi found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for working puzzles and playing games, and enjoyed the challenge and entertainment in these activities.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Sue and Michelle Dawn Sponaugle; her son, Bobby Carl Sponaugle, Jr.; her sisters, Paula Jean Bennett Crawford, Diane Faye Bennett Niday, and Bonnie Sue Bennett Roadcap; her brothers, Harold Ray and Lonnie Wayne Bennett; a half-brother, Clifton Robert Arbaugh, Jr.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Guy and Roger Bennett.

A Celebration of Naomi's Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Gypsy Hill Park in the Pavilion located on the hill, with Pastor Russell Heinrich officiating.
