PATTY JO HEWITT LYNDHURST, VA Patty Jo (Landes) Hewitt, 69, wife of Elwood Hewitt, of 522 Back Creek Lane, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at her residence. She was born August 15, 1946, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late William R. and Helen M. (Fitzgerald) Landes. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Hewitt was employed by Hollister and Avante of Waynesboro. In addition to her husband, family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Kim Marvin and Karin Fix of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, William Dody and Peggy Landes of Buffalo Junction; four grandchildren, James Fix, Nathan Fix, Evan Fix, and Sunny Fix; three great grandchildren, Lauren Fix, Aiden Fix, and Braden Fix; Uncle Bud Fitzgerald; and special cousins and aunts. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Landes. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Earl Monroe and Frank Hall. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tim Grove, D.F. Wright, Jim Humphries, Gene Trantham, Charlie Crummett, and Bryon Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015, in the funeral home.
