Paul J. Long

Paul Junior Long, 65, of Staunton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center in Petersburg.

He was born on September 28, 1959, in Cherry Grove, WV to the late Paul Howard Long and Imogene "Em" Rose Hevener Ellis.

Though Paul faced challenges throughout his life, those who were fortunate enough to know him will remember him for his kind heart and boundless joy. He found beauty in the simplest things and his presence brightened the lives of family, friends, and neighbors, teaching all he came in contact with the meaning of unconditional love.

He is survived by his sister, Melinda Ann Long Keyser; his niece, Brandi Keyser; his nephew; Travis Snyder and his wife, Megan; his great-nephew, Trevor Snyder; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Ray Long.
