Ricky L. Clifton

Ricky Lynn Clifton, 64, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

He was born on October 19, 1960, in Staunton, to the late John Boyd Clifton, Sr. and Lydia Frances Piner Cash.

Ricky was a person who embraced life with open arms. His passion for hunting and the great outdoors defined much of his leisure time, allowing him to connect with nature. He took immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, exploring the wilderness and enjoying the tranquility that comes from spending time in nature.

In addition to his outdoor adventures, Ricky was a huge supporter of football, proudly cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. His enthusiasm for the game often brought friends and family together, creating lasting memories filled with joy, competition, and camaraderie. Ricky's love for the sport mirrored his approach to life—full of passion, excitement, and a lively spirit that drew people in. He was most known for his keen sense of humor.

Above all, Ricky cherished his family and will be remembered for his unwavering love and support.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Clifton; his son, Ryan Nicholas Clifton and his wife, Jamie of Weyers Cave; his brothers, Gary Lane Clifton and his wife, Janet of Staunton, John Boyd Clifton, Jr. and his wife, Peggy; of Christiansburg; his sister, Sandra Sue Clifton Smalley and her husband, Mike, of Carol Stream, Illinois; his step-brother, Ronnie Lee Cash; his step-sister, Brenda Jean Cash Griffin, his brother-in-law, William Rowe of Franklin, West Virginia; his grandson, Cain Franklynn Clifton of Weyers Cave; a number of nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren; and his beloved pets.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steven Wayne Clifton; and his stepfather, Glenn Logan Cash.

A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
