Rinday A. Forbes

Rinday Ann Forbes, 90, passed away on Sunday, March 31,2024, at her residence in Craigsville.

She was born May 15, 1933, in Augusta County to the late Auther Alexander Sprouse and Ruby Ardelis Carroll Barnett.

Throughout her life, Rinday found enjoyment in various hobbies and interests, including puzzles, porcelain dolls, and trips to the Salvation Army. She was also a member of Joyful Sounds in Craigsville.

She is survived by; her grandson, Wyatt Forbes; a special caregiver and niece, Evonne Paiva; a special niece, Stella McDonaldson and her beloved chihuahua, Princess.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Peter Mayfield Forbes, she is preceded in death by her son, William Mayfield Forbes; her brothers, Thomas William, Robert Lee and John Henry Sprouse; her sisters, Laura Jean Sprouse, Margaret Elizabeth Sprouse Simmons, Lillie Belle Sprouse Campbell, Lula Mae Sprouse Robertson and Sarah Louise Sprouse Stokes.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton with Pastor Mike Herring officiating.
