Robert N. Burguieres

Robert Naylor “Bob” Burguieres, 83, husband of Mary Ann (Moss) Burguieres, of Staunton, Virginia, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Baldwin Park.

He was born September 25, 1937 in New Iberia, Louisiana, a son of the late Edward and Mary Ellen (Bell) Burguieres.

Mr. Burguieres was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana and worked as a corporate accountant.

Bob was a loving husband and father. He adored his four grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, family members include three children, Mary Katherine (Peter Blair), Michael Burguieres (Michelle Landauer), and Janice Burguieres (Robert Gay); a brother, Albert “Duts” Burguieres; and four grandchildren, Eva Blair, Kit Blair, Juliet Burguieres, and Annabel Burguieres.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Burguieres.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father Joseph Wamala. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery in Lexington with Father Joseph D’Aurora officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 in the Henry Funeral Home.
