Robert C. Cote, Sr.

Robert Charles Cote, Sr., passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at his residence in Staunton.

He was born on April 2, 1939, in Minden, NY to the late Joseph Paul Ulrique and Rose Louise Gelineau Cote.

Robert was a retired truck driver. 

The memories of Robert will forever remain in the hearts of his surviving family members and friends. He is survived by his children, Robert "Bob" Charles Cote Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Verona, David Wayne Cote and his wife, Dee of Lowell, MA, Douglas Alan Cote of Verona, Pamela Jean Cote Marion and her husband, Jay of Staunton, Timothy "Tim" William Cote and his wife, Shirley of Staunton, Dale Richard Cote of Verona, Elizabeth "Liz" Lynn Cote Sheets and her husband, Mark of Mount Sidney, and Carol Lee Cote Marvin and her husband, Les of Stuarts Draft. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, George Leonard James Cote and his wife, Donna. The legacy of Robert continues through the generations with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, Doris Patricia Brunelle Cote, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Edward, Joseph Norman Roger, Sr., and Lucien "John" Arthur Cote and his sisters, Dorothy P. Cote Hall Bomster, Bernadette Maryann Cote, Jeannette Cote Etre and Louise Rose Cote Pechie.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mount Sidney, Monday September 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Russell Heinrich officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at Bob and Deb’s residence in Verona.
