ROY T. DUNLAP STAUNTON, VA Roy Taylor Dunlap, 87, husband of Juanita (Armstrong) Dunlap, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011, at his residence. He was born July 30, 1924, in Mt. Solon, a son of the late Wilbur Hanger and Effie (Huffer) Dunlap. Mr. Dunlap served three years in the Navy during World War II. He attended North River High School. He retired on January 1, 1987, from Waynesboro DuPont with 40 years of service. He was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg and attended Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg. In addition to his wife, family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Lisa Dunlap; two grandsons, Wesley and Chase; a granddaughter, Kinsey; and two sisters, Juanita Michael of Springfield and Zetta Humphries of Ohio. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Garnet Wimer and Ruby Armentrout; and two brothers, Paul Dunlap and Jared Dunlap. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Tim Frost and Walt Crull. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, in the funeral home.
