Ruth Anne Crickenberger Sullivan, 73, of Old Mill Road in Staunton passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at her residence.
Ruth Anne was born in Harrisonburg on October 7, 1951, a daughter of the late Harry Earl and Elizabeth Harriette Gilbert Crickenberger.
Ruth Anne was a graduate of Fort Defiance High School and Virginia Tech. She was a member of Barren Ridge Covenant Brethren Church and retired from Bridgewater College in their Admissions Office. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the church organ part time, accompanying the church choir and participating in the Women's Fellowship. She also enjoyed sewing and crafts, preparing meals for the elderly and shut-ins, and her card ministry.
Ruth Anne is survived by her husband, Lynn Patrick; her daughters, Pamela Sullivan and her husband, Jason Fisher of Lyndhurst, and Teresa Wright and her husband, Jason of New Hope. She is also survived by two brothers, Roger Crickenberger (Rose) of North Carolina, Ronald “Ronnie” Crickenberger (Roxice) of Waynesboro; her sister, Rita Cline of Hardy; her brother-in-law, Barry (Betty) Sullivan of Buena Vista; her sister-in-law, Reba Becks of Crimora; two grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Alexis Wright and Landon Wright; and their Pug, Wrinkles.
In addition to her parents, Ruth Anne was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Lynn Cline and Charles Becks.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Barren Ridge Covenant Brethren Church with Pastors Henry and Janet Elsea and Jonathan Brush officiating. The family will receive friends after the ceremony.
Ruth Anne always enjoyed preparing for covered dish meals. A meal will be served after the service by the Women's Fellowship (utensils, beverages, and meats) will be provided. If you are attending the memorial service and planning to stay for the meal, and are so led, please bring a favorite dish to share with family and friends.
It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial contributions to Barren Ridge Women's Fellowship (1790 Barrenridge Road, Staunton, VA 24401) or to Heifer International (1 World Avenue Little Rock AR, 72202 | https://www.heifer.org/give/)
There will be no public viewing. Friends and family may call at their home or at the homes of her daughters.
