Shelby Jean (Campbell) Balser, 73, wife of Ernest Balser, Sr., passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Balser was born on August 27, 1949, in Montibello, Virginia, a daughter of James Oscar and Mildred (Henson) Campbell.
She retired from Hollister after 28 years of service as a machine operator.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by two sons, Ernest Balser Jr. (Teresa) and Timothy Balser; a daughter, Rebecca Hipes (Michael); four grandchildren, Zachary Hipes, Kayleigh Hipes, Timothy Balser, Jr., and Steven Wayne Balser; a sister, Lou Ann Fields and five step-grandchildren, April Craig, Brittany Craig, Cheyanne Craig, Mason Campbell and Hunter Craig.
She is reunited with her granddaughter, Christina Hipes; a brother, James Campbell; a sister, Carol Ferguson and a brother-in-law, Glenn Fields who all preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Heinrich. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Old Providence ARP Church Cemetery.
