Sherwood W. "Billy" Rexrode

Sherwood William “Billy” Rexrode, 65, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Rexrode was born on June 1, 1957 in Staunton to the late George William and Pearl (Dudley) Rexrode.

He served our country in the US Marine Corps.

He is survived by a son, Jonathon “Jon” Showalter; two daughters, Jennifer Thacker and Michelle Jensen; two brothers, Glen “Rex” Rexrode and Wayman “Bucky” Brock; two sisters, Ardella Terry (Stevie) and Madeline Whitecotton (Larry); six grandchildren; and four nieces.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Rexrode and a nephew, Matthew Armstrong.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2022 at American Legion Post 13. There will be a time of fellowship with food provided following the service.
