Terry R. Burchett

Terry Richard Burchett, 60, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend passed away at his residence in Verona on Monday, November 25, 2024.

Born in Tazewell on June 11, 1964, to Bertha Dickerson Asbury Killingsworth and the late Richard Isaac Burchett, Terry was a dedicated and hardworking individual who ran a self-owned successful business as a stucco installer.

Terry had a profound love for the outdoors; he found peace in camping adventures and exploring nature. An avid Harley motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed the freedom of the open road, relishing every opportunity to ride. Beyond his passions, Terry was known for his remarkable handyman skills. Whether fixing things around the house or crafting something new, he had a knack for fixing anything and everything.

Music was another of Terry's great joys and he was a diehard fan of classic rock and metal. His love for his family and his animals reflected a kind and gentle spirit, and he cherished the companionship they provided.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Brandon Isaac Burchett; his sisters, Michelle Renee Burchett Stullenburg and Angela Rayner; as well as his niece, Corrina Rayner. He is also survived by two stepbrothers and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the residence of his mother (1397 Laurel Hill Road, Verona, VA 24482).
