Thomas Leighton Fitzgerald, Sr.

THOMAS L. FITZGERALD, SR. STUARTS DRAFT, VA Thomas Leighton Fitzgerald, Sr., 59, of 1847 Cold Springs Road, Stuarts Draft, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at King's Daughters' Rehab Center, Staunton. He was born January 22, 1952 in Greenville, a son of Elmer W. Fitzgerald, Sr. of Dowagiac, MI and Gloria (Fitzgerald) Gibson. Prior to retirement, Mr. Fitzgerald was employed by Van Wyke Trucking as a driver. He loved square dancing and studying geneology. In addition to his parents, family members include his step-mother, Earline Fitzgerald of Dowagiac, MI; the mother of his children, Glenda Mullins Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas L. Jr., and Christine Y. Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Colleen R. Fitzgerald and Annette Moiser, both of Waynesboro; three brothers, Butch, Jack, and Eddie Fitzgerald; a sister, Eskie Gibson Marvic of Ft. Defiance; seven grandchildren; and a great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Godiva Smith. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. There will be no visitation and services will be held at a later date.
