Thomas G. Howell
Thomas Gerome Howell, 76 of Verona, passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
He was born October 12, 1945 in Bath County to the late Conway H. and Alice S. Howell.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was the owner of Commonwealth Engine and Truck Service and and was employed by Bath County Pump Storage Project. He was a member of EAA since 1981. He was a member of Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church. He loved spending time with his beloved dogs; Stella and Scout.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nora O’Kane Howell; his son Thomas M. Howell (Bobbie); his daughter, Amy Howell Izzillo; special friend, Mike Kinnaird; grandchildren; Deidre Dean, Kelcie Izzillo, and Ian Izzillo; two brothers, Andy C. Howell and Paul B. Howell (Barbara); and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 2-7 P.M. at the residence at 271 River View Dr, Verona, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church by Dr. Bill Reinhold.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church; PO Box 118, Fort Defiance, VA 24437.
