Victor “Vic” Allen Knicely, 66, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his residence in Verona.
He was born on January 8, 1959, in Staunton to Mary Ann Dingess Casiday and the late Alfred Emmanuel Knicely.
Victor proudly served in the Marine Corps. His military service was a testament to his commitment to serving others. After his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a grinder at Accutech Blades, where he worked until his retirement.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Victor, delighted in playing golf whenever the opportunity arose. His love for sports extended beyond his personal interests where he devoted his time to coaching little league football, often participating in his grandson's games. He also found great joy in watching his granddaughter, Olivia, cheer.
Victor had a profound love for his family and immensely enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, often engaging in games of Scrabble and other family competitions.
He had a rich appreciation for music, particularly songs that resonated with him from his younger years.
He is survived by his daughter, Erica Ann Knicely Wilson and her husband, David; his son, Joshua Merritt Knicely; his brother, Jeffrey Lynn Knicely; his sister, Anna Christine Knicely Corbin and her husband, Dean; his grandchildren, Olivia Jordan and Bradley Trenton Hebb; his step-grandchildren, Calen Wilson (Macarah) and Savannah Wilson; his aunt, Ella Ingram; and a number of nieces and nephews, Ryan, Taylor, and Elizabeth Knicely, and Lauren Sprouse.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Bruce Knicely.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
