VIOLA M. MCCOY STAUNTON, VA Viola May (King) McCoy, 80, of 415 Guilford Ave., died Friday, May 27, 2011, at the home of her son, Earl in Lake Ridge, Virginia. She was born July 11, 1930, in Staten Island, NY, a daughter of the late George H. King Sr., and Celestia Drumheller. Surviving family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Earl W., Jr., and Sandra A. McCoy and Michael A. and Sandra S. McCoy; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond A. and Barbara Guffey; a sister and a brother-in-law, Helen Louise and Nick Divaris; two grandchildren, Shannon Harris and husband, Tom, and Tara McCoy; a great grandchild, William Alexander McCoy; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Earl W. McCoy; her mother, Celestial Guffey; her step-father, David Alexander Guffey; and two sisters, Shirley Orr and Betty Jean Prucell. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Raymond Guffey, Nick Divaris, Brandon Martin, Franklin Layton, George Seekford, Tom Harris. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, in the funeral home.
