Violet R. Nuckols

Violet Louise (Roberts) Nuckols, widow of Hugh Lee Nuckols, formerly of Gypsy Hill Place, passed away on October 24, 2022.

Mrs. Nuckols was born on November 10, 1926 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Charles Clarence, Sr. and Edna Earl (Shull) Roberts.

Violet was a member of Elk Run Church of the Brethren. She had formerly worked at Genesco-L-Grief Company in Verona, Va. She enjoyed Find-a-Word puzzles, quilt making and working with flowers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Buddy Lee Nuckols and Charles William ‘Bill’ Nuckols Sr.; two daughters-in-law, Betty Ann Arehart and Peggy ‘Jeannie’ (Jenkins) Nuckols; four brothers, Merlin Roberts, Earl Roberts, Reginald Roberts and Clarence Roberts, Jr.; and two sisters Ora Mae Clark and Virginia Elizabeth Campbell.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Gayle Nuckols of Meadowview, VA and Sherry Jo Nuckols of Staunton; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
