Wanda R. Spiers
Wanda Virginia (Reid) Spiers, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on December 23, 1943 in Staunton to the late Arthur Russell, Sr. and Lucille Virginia (Livick) Reid.
Ms. Spiers was a member of Verona United Methodist Church. She retired from AT&T as a service coordinator.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher John and Melinda Reid of Staunton; a son, Tony Wolfe; a brother, Arthur R. “Jim” Reid of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Anne “Becky” Reid of Fort Defiance; her grandchildren; and her beloved pets, Buddy, TeePee, and Bo.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil F. Reid.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Sunday (March 13, 2022) in Henry Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday (March 14, 2022) at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Won Un.
Active pallbearers will be Lon Reid, Joel Frazier, Wesley Reid, and Greg Nichols.
Honorary pallbearer is Tony Wolfe.
Henry Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
