William "Bill" F. Miller

William F Miller, Jr., 69, husband of June M Miller of Staunton, passed away on August 11, 2022 at his residence after a long illness.

Bill was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1953, a son to the late William F Miller, Sr. and Doris E (Malick) Miller.

He was a veteran having served 13 years in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to his illness, he worked at the Virginia School of the Deaf and Blind and Bridgewater College.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Elaine Miller of Blackwood, New Jersey.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 35 years, is his daughter, Kristine L Miller of York, Pennsylvania; a sister, Ruth Jean Rosenberger and husband Stephen of Hershey, Pennsylvania and nieces and nephew: Veronica Miller, Kathryn and Stephen Rosenberger.

Bill was a devoted husband, loving father and overall a very good man who not only loved his family but also loved and enjoyed nature, sports and “oldies music”. He was thoughtfully nicknamed as the “tree man” by neighbors and friends alike.

We wish to thank Dr. April Salama, MD and the many doctors, nurses and staff at Duke Medicine Center, North Carolina for their care of Bill during his long illness and the Hospice of the Shenandoah, Heather and Joy, for being there when needed.

Based on Bill’s wishes the funeral arrangements will be private.
