William G. Lawhorne Jr.

William Grimm Lawhorne Jr, "Dump", 66, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 29, 2022.

He was born on August 17, 1956 in Staunton, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his father William Grimm Lawhorne Sr; his mother Mary Catherine Lawhorne and a granddaughter Kaylynn "KK" Gardner.

In addition to his wife, Gail Lawhorne, he is survived by his sister Pat Lawhorne of Verona; his daughter Jessica Fitzgerald and granddaughter Madison "Maddie" Fitzgerald; his daughter Mary Ellen Lawhorne of Lyndhurst; a step-son Travis Fitzgerald and step-granddaughter Katherine Fitzgerald; a step-daughter Felicia Fitzgerald and step-grandson Landon Gibson; a step-daughter Jessie Castello, her husband Chris and three step-granddaughters Ariel Fisher, Zoe and Harper Castello; also a special lifetime childhood friend Joey Fitzgerald of Greenville.

He was a veteran of the United States Army as a diesel mechanic at the end of the Vietnam War. He had a love of motorcycles and the brotherhood.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Lexington Hospice, nurse Karen and Henry Funeral Home.

There will be a celebration of life held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:30pm at 1943 Irish Creek Rd.
