William E. Reed

William Ernest Reed, 77, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, in Fishersville. 

He was born on June 10, 1947, in Augusta County to the late William Arguy and Phyllis Loraine Clemmer Reed.

William was a dedicated welder at Braden and VanFossen for over fifty years. He was a skilled craftsman whose talent and commitment made a lasting impact on his colleagues and community. His work ethic and passion for welding inspired those around him throughout his career.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Ernie Reed; his sister, Wanda Reed Higgins and her fiancé, Wilmer Roadcap; her nieces, Kelly Barrack (Kari) and Carrie Nichols (Greg); her nephew Matthew Vincent (Brandi); and his friends and coworkers at Braden and VanFossen.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Louise Reed Comeau and Connie Jo Reed Vincent, as well as his brother, Bobby Lee Reed.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
