COLUMBIA, MD - Worthy Brooks Scott, also known as Jack, passed away on October 27, 2021 at Ellicot City Health & Rehab. He was born on July 28, 1946 in Staunton, Virginia.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School where he graduated.
He was drafted into the US Army on January 24, 1966 and was decorated with the Vietnam Service medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Sharpshooter (Rifle).
He worked at Baxter Healthcare where he retired.
He married his wife, Ann L. Scott in August of 1967.
Worthy was preceded in death by his mother, Charlsie Scott (Wilson); his sisters, Wanda Parks and Denise Muse; and his brother Gregory Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Ann Scott; his daughter, Tajuana Sanders (Tarik); his brothers, Mark Wilson and John Wilson; cousin/brother, Ojtate (Ella), son/nephew, Andre Vaughn; his bonus daughters, Aisha Jacobs and Amanda Williams Hankins; his grandchildren, Cliff, Alante, Najah, and Nasim; his nieces, Michelle Parks and Michelle Brantley; and his nephew, Robert Keeling.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Memory Gardens and Mausoleum.
A repast will follow the burial at Community United Methodist Church.
